The ValueJet 2638 dye sublimation printer features a staggered dual head setup combined with Mutoh’s award-winning Intelligent Interweaving print technology to deliver high quality and high speed, ideal for users requiring a versatile floor-to-ceiling production printer.
Destined for high volume applications, the dye sublimation printer offers production speeds up to 46 m²/h at 360 x 720 dpi and 72 m²/h at 360 x 360 dpi. The machine supports all typical dye sublimation transfer paper weights (from 66 g/m² to 150 g/m²).
Staggered Dual Head Setup
The ValueJet 2638 printer incorporates a staggered dual head setup with latest generation piezo drop-on-demand variable drop “wide model” print heads. Each 1440-nozzle head (8 lines of 180 nozzles) incorporates four colour sections, divided in two nozzle rows with 360 nozzles per colour.
The integrated print heads are capable of producing ink drops ranging from 3.6 pl to 35.2 pl. Bottom line, they can produce a wider range of ink dots, which are moreover jetted at a much faster speed compared to other print heads on the market. The result is faster output speeds and moreover a much better print quality at higher output speeds.

Print Resolutions
The ValueJet 2638’s print heads offer different print resolutions: 360 x 720 dpi, 720 x 720 dpi, 720 x 1080 dpi, 720 x 1440 dpi and 1080 x 1440 dpi. Pre-defined print modes will enable the ValueJet operator to easily select the appropriate settings for the required speed / quality. Experienced users can also set up print mode parameters to their satisfaction. The VJ-2638 printer produces top quality graphics with vibrant and crisp colours, flawless solid colours and unrivalled smooth gradations.
Dye Sublimation Transfer Papers
The ValueJet 2638 printer can handle 2” & 3” rolls. The VJ-2638 dye sublimation printer, equipped with dedicated pressure rollers for paper printing, prints on all typical dye sublimation transfer papers from 66 g/m² to 150 g/m². Integrated heater strips reduce or eliminate the need for additional paper drying equipment.
The ValueJet 2638 is equipped with a heavy-duty motorised unwinder / winder 100 system for media rolls up to 100 kg.
